Zombie Love is the fortieth episode of Dude, That's My Ghost! It aired for the first time on September 15, 2013, along with The Blair Wright Project.

Synopsis[]

On Valentine's Day at Beverly Beverly High, Spencer and Billy must fend off a horde of love-crazed zombies and figure out how to reverse the effect.

Plot[]

Spencer is eating cereal in bed when Billy, dressed as Cupid, shoots an arrow into his bowl and spills the contents all over Spencer. Spencer complains that it was his last clean shirt and Billy offers to lend Spencer one of his. Spencer asks Billy why he’s dressed like he is and when he says that it’s Valentine’s Day, Billy corrects him by saying it’s “Billentine’s Day,” the one day a year when everyone gets to feel what it’s like to be him. Spencer finds a shirt he’d be willing to wear and complains about Billy spraying his signature cologne excessively, offending Billy. Seeing the shirt that Spencer had chosen, Billy insisted on not wearing it because it was his “breakup shirt” which he wore whenever he planned to break up with a girl, but Spencer opts to wear it anyway.

Beverly Beverly High is decorated for Valentine’s Day. Rajeev tries to find an excuse to kiss Lolo until she has Adrian shut him in a locker. Still dressed as Cupid, Billy goes around shooting his “love arrows” at students and hugging them, leaving them bewildered. Suddenly, all the students transform into zombies, repeatedly muttering the word “love” and spreading the effect by hugging others. As the zombified students start shambling towards Spencer, he and Billy run away pursued by them until they take shelter in a bathroom. Principal Ponzi emerges from one of the stalls and the two find him to be a zombie too, throwing him out into the hallway with all the others. Spencer asks Billy what could be causing the zombie effect and suggests the arrows that Billy was using. When Billy thinks they might be the answer, Spencer urges him to think of an antidote. Billy isn’t able to and casually pulls out a vial labelled “love antidote,” convinced it won’t work and attempting to throw it away before Spencer frantically catches it.

Spencer and Billy pour the love antidote on Billy’s arrows and ambush the zombies, managing to shoot them all. A second later, however, they recover and get back up, prompting Billy and Spencer to run from them into the bathroom once again. Finding Ponzi in there again, they throw him out a second time. Realizing that running from the zombies has made him sweat, Billy sprays his cologne again, which Spencer insists is way worse. Spencer asks Billy what’s in the cologne and Billy describes the ingredients, one of which is his sweat. Spencer realizes that Billy’s sweat, containing ectoplasm, must have turned everyone into zombies when Billy hugged them. The two then encounter iStevie as he leaves the bathroom and notice that he’s not a zombie. Spencer remembers that iStevie hugged him and questions why that didn’t turn him into a zombie. A female zombified student then breaks into the bathroom and hugs Spencer, upon which the zombie effect is reversed and she slaps him before walking away. Billy and Spencer then figure out that the “breakup shirt” Spencer is wearing must have a nullifying effect on the love-crazed zombies. Kleet then enters the bathroom and hugs Spencer, turning him back to normal and prompting him to hit Spencer.

Spencer then goes around hugging – and getting hit by – everyone at Beverly Beverly High until they’re all cured. Shanilla then invites him to lunch and Spencer remarks that he’s not sure he can chew after being slapped in the face so many times. Billy then praises him for going around hugging everyone despite hating hugs, which cheers Spencer up a bit, and the three go to the cafeteria, after which Rajeev is revealed to still be shut in the locker calling out for Lolo.
