With Ponzi making Spencer’s life even more miserable than usual, Spencer cooks up a scheme to get Ponzi fired. Can Spencer find a way to get Ponzi his old job back before Walter nabs Billy?

Plot[]

At Beverly Beverly High, Spencer and Rajeev are reading in the library when Billy pops up and shows them his new trick of telekinesis by making the ceiling fan above them move. Spencer doesn’t think it’s very impressive until Billy makes the fan spin fast enough to generate an air vortex. Spencer tells Billy that midterms are coming up and he needs to study. Suddenly, Principal Ponzi bursts into the library in mariachi gear and loudly reminds the students that they’ll be expelled if they flunk midterms. He is particularly entertained by the idea of Spencer having to leave the school. Billy then uses his telekinesis to lift Ponzi’s sombrero, and his wig, off his head and leading him to crash into the wall.

In the cafeteria, Ponzi once again torments Spencer, causing him to get up and leave. Billy comments on how much of a jerk Ponzi is for interrupting Spencer’s midterm studying, to which Spencer responds that he’s doing it on purpose to expel him. Spencer then gets out his cellphone and calls the school superintendent, claiming that he’s a parent concerned over Principal Ponzi’s behavior and that the school board should send someone to the school to keep an eye on him until midterms are over. He then learns that the superintendent had been expecting such a call for years. Spencer studies in the hallway while Billy tries to perfect his telekinesis. Ponzi then walks up to Spencer shouting into a megaphone about an alien invasion and keeps following him outside the building. A limo then pulls up and Ponzi recognizes the man who steps out as Walter Minotaur, someone he clearly dislikes. Spencer tells Minotaur about Ponzi’s alien invasion plan, which convinces Minotaur to declare that Ponzi is on leave and that the superintendent has allowed him to be the replacement.

In the auditorium, Minotaur makes an announcement about his new position as principal. He sees Lolo talking on her cellphone and declares that cellphone usage in the school is banned, crushing her phone in his fist. Lolo smugly says that her parents are super rich and so she can do whatever he wants, Minotaur fires back that he is also super rich as his great-grandfather invented the receipt. He tells the students about his dedication to discipline, inspired by his idol, a school administrator named Lamuel P. Gompers. When he dismisses the students, they quickly leave the auditorium in fear. Rajeev is worried about Minotaur, but Spencer is convinced that he’s all talk until he demonstrates his authoritarianism on several students in the hallway.

In the library, Spencer is studying again while Billy continues to try out his telekinesis. Rajeev tries to tell Spencer something, which Spencer tries to blow off until he finds out too late that Rajeev was trying to warn him that Kleet was approaching. Kleet then hits Spencer and berates him for getting Ponzi fired. Billy then puts Spencer back into his seat and shows him an entry about himself in the encyclopedia. Spencer reads that Billy’s real name is Baruch Cohen and Billy corrects his pronunciation. Billy then takes the encyclopedia out of Spencer’s hands and Spencer snaps at him. Minotaur notices that the book appears to be floating and warns Spencer that it was a ghost and he is a ghost hunter, dragging Spencer along to help him with catching the ghost. Minotaur puts Spencer in a poncho made of cheese meant to repel ghosts, which Billy eats. Minotaur catches Spencer talking to Billy again and sprays “ghost locator spray” into the air, which Billy thinks is a scam until he actually becomes visible and Minotaur throws a net around him. When Minotaur leaves the room to get rope to tie Billy up with, Spencer removes the net and Billy flies off. Minotaur is still determined to catch him, however.

At the WiFri with Rajeev and Billy, Spencer is still studying, which Billy tries to convince him not to do while there. Spencer retorts that it’s the only place he can get away from Minotaur and is surprised to hear himself say that he misses Ponzi. Ponzi himself, now a WiFri employee, then walks up and asks for Spencer’s order. Ponzi asks about Minotaur and Spencer and Rajeev tell him that the students are not fond of the new principal. Ponzi mocks Minotaur’s obsession with Gompers and Spencer gets an idea. He gets Ponzi to begrudgingly make a deal with him that if Spencer gets Ponzi’s old job back, Ponzi will stop giving him a hard time.

Spencer goes into Minotaur’s office and gives him a hat that he claims will protect against ghosts. The hat turns out to be Billy’s and Minotaur sees him take the form of Lamuel P. Gompers, convinced that it’s really his idol. Minotaur is amazed to be speaking with him and asks what he’s doing there. Billy briefly forgets his line before Spencer reminds him to say that the only way his soul could find peace was to continue to be a school administrator, which Billy repeats back to Minotaur. At first Minotaur is excited to work alongside Gompers, but Billy tells him that he has things covered and that Minotaur must get Ponzi his job back, and the dejected Minotaur says that he’ll call the superintendent. Billy then uses his telekinesis to take the hat off Minotaur’s head, causing him to disappear from his view. When Ponzi returns, he breaks his promise to leave Spencer alone, prompting Billy to use his telekinesis to mess with him and declare that he’d finally gotten it right.
